A honest woodcutter || Honesty is Quality ||greediness illnesses|| A short story with moral

The world is full of dishonest people but you need someone who is trustworthy to share our secrets . Nowadays beliving someone blindly is just like crossing the road with closed eyes, anything could happen even an accident. You can find GOD but you can’t find someone who will stay honest with you for your entire life except parents. This story is all about the quality of a person. Maybe you have already heared this story like i heard this story from my grandpa but still I love this story and this story always reminds me about why I should always stay honest.

STORY:-

Once upon a time there was a forest where local woodcutters used come and cut trees to run thier house. There was a poor man who had a small family and he was the only source of income for his family.
One day he went to the forest with his friend . They divided the  areas to work , his friend choose the center and ask him to go to the river side . He went to his side and  choosed some big trees to cut and he started his work . Those trees was right behind the river. After cutting some of trees he felt hungy and sit on a peace of tree that he cut .  He had nothing for  lunch and was sitting for a while . He was a hard worker but he was getting older day by day. Again he started cutting trees but the sun was hiding behind the clouds . The clean blue sky became black, and start dropping water  but he did not stop and keep cuttng but his hands was wet . Suddenly the axe slipped from his wet hand to the river and sink inside. The river was really deep so he could not find his axe in the river so he sit and start blaming on himself , why i did not stop when the rain started . He was sad and thinking about the axe instantly the rain stopped and the sky became clean and blue. He was sad , his head was down suddenly a voice of a female came from the river and it wa the voice of the GODDESS of river. She was holding an axe in her hands but the axe was shinig like gold.

The man was in a shock , he was seeing a GODDESS flying on river . She told him that she is the Goddess of river and she found an axe in deep inside of the river then she came to him to give this to him by herself. The man said no goddess i think there is a mistake because I am a poor man then how can I drop an axe made of gold . Maybe someone else also droped his axe like I did. His answer was so true and honest  . Goddess impressed with him so she gave him the golden axe and blassed him.

He was so happy, he show his golden axe to his friend and told all the story to his friend. His friend was very claver , he thought if goddess can give him the golden axe so she could also give me the golden axe because I am more claver than him. So he was plnning that next day he will go to the river .

NEXT DAY…

He woke early in the morning and went to the forest. He came to the river side and strat cutting the trees instantly he throw his axe to the river and start acting like he was really sad but from inside he was waiting for the Goddess .

A sound came from the river and he saw a Goddess flying on river with an axe made of gold .She said I am the goddess of the river and I found an axe deep inside in the river , is it your ?  . He was shocked by seeng a Goddess . He said yes Goddess that is my golden axe I droped that by mistake.
So give it to me. The Goddess was not happy with his answer so she went back to the river and did not gave the golden axe .
He did not understand what happened why she did not give him the golden axe. After thinking so much he realised that it was his own greediness that took the golden axe away from him.

MORAL of the story :-

This story just taught you two different lesson of a same book.

  1. HONESTY :- Honesty is the one quality that makes you different from the rest of the world . If someone trust you and belives you then it is your responsibility to stay honest . Like in this story the first woodcutter was honest with the GODDESS so she gave him what he deserved . But the next one was opposite from the first man so GODDESS was disappointed with his answer and did not gave him any prize. So be honest and you will get something batter then being dishonest .
  2. GREEDINESS :-  Greediness is the path of distruction . In this path you will learn only those things which will make you a bad person . The story is telling the same thing . The second man show his Greediness and made the goddess angry and she disappeared . So leave your greediness instanty . It is like alcohol , you think it is good for you but you know the truth very well .

Hey friend thank you for reading this story hope you learnt something or I helped you to recall an old story . If you like this story then please share this story with your friends and family specially with younger ones .And again thank you for visiting have a great time ahead.
